IN LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
Creating opportunities for students to learn about one another and meaningfully connect can help them thrive.
- Organise supervised and open activities at lunch. You may like to invite student leaders to create a calendar of activities that can be run to suit different interests
- Discuss the importance of social connection during a lesson (See our lesson plans below)
- Host a ‘bring a plate’ day
- Make common areas inviting for informal hangouts (comfortable, safe, and social)
- Create a pop-up games corner
- Acknowledge student connectors at assembly or in your community
