IN THE COMMUNITY

Community organisations, local councils, sporting clubs and neighbourhoods are where some of the most powerful acts of room-making happen.
  • Host a drop-in event built around a shared interest (craft, cooking, gardening, music, walking, games etc)
  • Create a welcoming arrival experience with warm faces and clear signage so nobody feels lost
  • Run a “bring someone new” campaign for members to introduce new people
  • Activate public spaces with free, low-barrier events (park activities, street morning teas or pop-up community tables)
  • Create a local noticeboard (physical or online) where people can share events and find others. See our Connection Calendar template.
  • Set up a connector network among your volunteers and staff
